All our biology classes are exclusively under instruction from Dr. James Lin, who designs and teaches all

our biology classes with no TAs or substitute teachers.

The USA Biology Olympiad is the premier biology competition in America. The competition begins in February with

the Open Exam, which is open to every high school student. The top 600 students, based on the scores on

the Open Exam, are invited to the Semifinals, and the top 20 students from the Semifinals are invited to the Finals.

If a student makes the USABO Semifinals or the Finals, then he or she has a legitimate claim to be one of the top

600 or top 20 biology students in America, respectively. In comparison, in 2014, there are approximately 14,000

students who scored a "5", the highest score, on the AP Biology test, hardly a national distinction. Furthermore, it

will eventually become clear to college admissions that the AP Biology test is less a test of biological knowledge than

a test of comprehension and critical analysis skills, similar to the Science section of the ACT.

The goal of the Cambridge Biology Competition Training Program is to train students to compete in the USA Biology Olympiad and other biology competitions. We begin training students in middle school with the SAT Honor Biology and Biology Summer Camp, continuing with the Intermediate Biology Olympiad and the Advanced Biology Olympiad classes in high school. Started in 2012, we have had great results in the USA Biology Olympiad, with 90 Semifinalists and 8 Finalists so far. In 2014 three Cambridge students made the USABO Finals. In 2015 two Cambridge students made the USABO Finals and in 2016 two students were Finalists.

The Cambridge Biology Competition Training Program will continue to improve its course curriculum in our goal to continue to be the best program of its kind in America.

The goal of our AP Biology classes is to prepare the students for the College Board AP Biology exam in more depth and width than what most high school AP Biology classes offer. Our 34 week class covers all the topics of the high school AP Biology test, including the lab section. Students will be well prepared for the test upon finishing the class.

Above 98% of our students receive 4 (out 5) and 50% get 5 at the exam.
